We have been asked to record the details as they have been published in The Ringing world. However, some common sense exceptions spring to mind:
- Where a correction has been published
- Where a ringer's name is clearly wrong - especially your own.
- Where the method description is clearly wrong - a note explaining this would be appropriate in the footnote.
Each of the entry fields in the input pages try to help by providing suitable options. You will get the hang of these as you enter more peals. They don't always get it right though. For example, current tenor weights are suggested which may not be correct for historical peals.
