CCCBR Library

The Library aims to provide a comprehensive, up-to-date source of information on bells and ringing, with particular emphasis on bells hung for full circle ringing and change-ringing in the ‘English’ tradition. It is not just an archive but a working collection, which is available not only to the serious researcher but also to the casual enquirer who wishes to find out something about some aspect of ringing.

The Library catalogue itemises more than 4,000 distinct acquisitions. There is also, on the CCCBR web site, a categorised version in pdf form. These two sources are being combined into a new searchable database. There are a number of duplicate items in the Library along with numerous different editions of the more popular publications. To complicate matters, some collections of small items are catalogued under a single acquisition number.
